Why did you decide to do a boudoir photography shoot?
I’ve loved boudoir photography for many years and finally just got tired of sitting on the sidelines.
What was your favorite part of the session?
I have to pick a favorite part?? The entire process was SO MUCH FUN. Lynn and Kailyn were fantastic, so friendly and the best hype girls on the planet! You feel like a queen when you leave and like you can conquer the world.
How did your boudoir shoot experience affect your self-confidence, self-worth, and self-image? Tell me your story.
For some time I have carried guilt and shame for poor choices made in my adolescence. It has poured over into my marriage and created intimacy issues between my husband and me. We’ve worked hard, sought counseling, pushed through all of that, and are in such a healthier, better place. I wanted to celebrate that and turn my sensuality into something positive, not something to hide. I can’t wait to share the photos with him and celebrate the special bond we share. That’s really what it is about for me – a celebration of myself, our marriage, even our children since it was my body that carried them and gave us our healthy, beautiful babes.
Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?
I was fairly certain I was going to love the outcome of the photos, but I did not expect to just have a blast during the session! Time flew by – we had so much fun pulling outfits together, matching lip colors, and just creating this artwork together! It felt like I was just having a girls’ day with my friends, honestly.
