One of my favorite parts about being a boudoir photographer is that every shoot and every client is totally unique and different.  It’s so much fun seeing you transform into a confident badass in front of the camera!  But if you’ve never had a boudoir shoot, there may be a few things that surprise you!

It’s totally normal to be nervous.

Truth time – almost every client I’ve ever had in the studio has been at least a little nervous when they arrive.  Some have just had a few butterflies, while others tell me that they seriously considered canceling.  But after the first 10-15 minutes, every single one of them started to relax and have FUN! 

Professional hair styling and makeup artistry are included in your sitting fee.

You don’t have to have to bring your own lingerie.

For some people, the idea of going lingerie shopping is a deal-breaker, but never fear! Let us introduce you to our Client Closet, which is stocked with lingerie in all sizes, accessories, heels (even Christian Louboutin!)…and did we mention angel wings?  

But if you want to bring your own lingerie, accessories, or props, you totally can!  We’ve had clients bring their wedding night lingerie, their husband’s favorite sports jersey, cowboy hats, special jewelry, and more! 

You don’t have to strip down to your skivvies to look and feel sexy!

*Gasp!*  I know!  There’s a big misconception that the only way to look sexy is to be naked or in lingerie, but it’s simply not true!  Sometimes it’s what you don’t show that’s the sexiest of all!  Tank tops, crop tops, oversized sweatshirts, button-down Oxford-style shirts, the aforementioned hockey jersey…just look at how amazing these ladies look!

You’ll feel like a total badass by the end.

There’s nothing like the confidence that a boudoir shoot gives you!  Go ahead and plan a big meeting, salary negotiation, or presentation right after your shoot because you will totally NAIL IT!  Seriously, my clients walk out of my studio feeling like they can take on the world…not because of anything I’ve done, but because they finally start realizing just what a badass they really are!
